   I agree with all except for the point about the fans not knowing what it takes to win at the championship level. I disagree on a few points:
   1. Most of us are not only Gamecock fans but also college football fans in general who watch other games, interact with other fans and have watch the likes of the last 5 SEC teams win National Championships. We have seen what works and what doesn't and although there are a few surprises, most have the basics and fundamentals of a championship team in common.
   
   2. Although its a different sport we have been first hand to witness our beloved Gamecock Baseball team win back to back National Championships. Like I said it's baseball, but the road to the championships have many similarities. We have tasted success, and know what it takes to get there.
   
   3. Most of us have played competitive sports at some point in our lives at various different levels. I was a Gamecock athlete and I'm a professional athlete now. I know how it feels to fail and I know what it takes to succeed and I have at many different levels. There are many former players and athletes on this board and have lived the ups and downs that are competitive sports.
   
   All I'm saying is....Marty....don't treat us (the fans) as idiots. I know we have a lot of "I'm gonna jump off the bridge as soon as things go bad" Gamecock fans. But I would argue that most of us have a well educated and experienced background when it comes to sports. Give us a little credit here. Just because the Gamecock Football Program has more lows than high's I think we also where that as a badge of Honor. We should be aloud to have high expectations...this is what drives the competitive spirit and our deep loving fan base....hoping and knowing that one year...hopefully this year...will be OUR YEAR!

   I never meant to imply that the fans were idiots. That was your word, not mine. I should have stressed the word "most" more in my article (Most Gameocks.) Sorry to offend you.
